That of the Bressans, as often happens when we talk about vineyards, wine and land, is a story made up of proper names: names of lands and above all names of people, who with the sweat of their brow and the fatigue of their hands have made a tradition that has now become centuries-old. From some historical documents, it seems that the wine business of the Bressan family dates back to the first half of the eighteenth century, and exactly to the distant 1726. Today, from generation to generation, it is Nereo and his son Fulvio Bressan, helped by his wife Jelena Misina, who manage the business, whose wines are now recognized and appreciated internationally.
Located in Farra d'Isonzo, in the province of Gorizia, the winery can count on an overall extension of twenty hectares of vineyards, divided into several plots, all conducted following methods that respect the best of what is the balance of the ecosystem, of the nature and the environment. In the vineyard, where the density reaches 5 thousand vines per hectare, the agronomic methods followed are scrupulous and attentive, the result of loving care dedicated to the plants throughout the year, so as to get to harvest pure, precious and concentrated grapes in every their smallest peculiarity. Passing from the rows to the cellar, respect for nature always remains as the cornerstone of the company philosophy, for which the stages of transformation are never forced, and fermentation always takes place only by indigenous yeasts. This is how man's role is "reduced" to patient control of a path which, piece by piece, completes the final mosaic that leads us to the magical moment of tasting. From Verduzzo to Schioppettino, from Malvasia to Ribolla, from Pinot Nero to Merlot, passing through Moscato Rosa and the remaining international vines, those of Bressan can be defined in all respects as "real wines". Labels, those of the “Bressan Mastri Vinai” winery, capable of speaking the language of the highest enological excellence of Friuli Venezia Giullia.
