List of products by brand Gianfranco Fino
More unique than rare: no other Italian wine has managed to agree with everyone as much as the celebrated "Es" by Gianfranco Fino, constantly awarded by all the guides in the sector. A Primitivo di Manduria capable of establishing itself in the very narrow circle of the greatest Italian wines in just a few years. In fact, Gianfranco's adventure began only in 2004, with the purchase of an old sapling vineyard of only two hectares, which was then extended to eighteen. "A special place" - as Gianfranco Fino himself likes to call it - made of vines between fifty and ninety years of age.
The philosophy behind the work of Gianfranco and his wife Simona is clear and apparently very simple: maniacal care of the vineyard, very low yields, few interventions in the cellar, solely aimed at enhancing the natural expressive cleanliness of the primitive. Beyond this, even the company mission has been, from the beginning, clear and apparently simple, aimed at producing wines characterized by a marked territorial identity, starting from those old vines that, from fifty years of age arrive today, for the precisely, even to touch the century of life. This is how a sort of perfect alchemy was born, which led to such an immediate and important success that it made us look with new eyes not only at the Manduria area, but at the whole Apulian viticulture. A region that has found its most prestigious interpreter in Gianfranco Fino. Thanks to the fame that the company has gained in a very short time - just think that "Es" 2008 was chosen to be served during the G8 of the Heads of State, which was held in L'Aquila, and was also selected, paired with cheeses, to brighten the private banquet of Queen Margaret II of Denmark, on the occasion of her 70 years - the winery is today a constant destination for visits by wine tourists, and continues on the road to the highest excellence, giving names now known to the wine scene, such as "Jo", "Es più sole" and "Simona Natale". Magical wines.
