List of products by brand Agrapart
Récoltant Manipulant Pascal Agrapart is a well-known name among Champagne enthusiasts, a producer whose refined and pure style has enchanted tasters from around the world. The estate, founded back in 1894 by Arthur Agrapart, is located in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, and is currently managed by the family's fourth viticultural generation, represented by Pascal, at the helm since 1982.
The Agrapart estate consists of 10 hectares under vine scattered almost exclusively among the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry, where even very old vines can be found. The varietal fulcrum of the winery is obviously Chardonnay, the prince grape variety of the Côte des Blancs, flanked by the popular Champenoise varieties Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, as well as Arbane, Petit Meslier and Pinot Blanc, grapes that are not very common in the region today but are allowed by the Champagne production specifications. The use of compost made from local natural ingredients is the basis of the biological health of the soil, which in turn determines the well-being of the plants, grown without any use of pesticides, herbicides and other synthetic chemicals.
The grapes are harvested and processed with meticulous care through a minimalist and genuine approach that excludes the use of clarification or filtration, adopting steel tanks, cement vats or oak barrels as wine containers. After the second fermentation in the bottle, the wines undergo prolonged sur lie aging and are finally dosed only Extra Brut or Brut Nature, thus limiting or excluding residual sugar so as to provide an unfiltered reflection of terroir.
As a testament to its intimate connection with the Côte des Blanc and Chardonnay, Pascal Agrapart's four finest labels are all Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru from grapes sourced almost exclusively from the village of Avize. 'Vénus' is the most prestigious Champagne, made from the fruit of a single vineyard in Avize and named in honor of the horse with which the plot's soil was once worked. 'Minéral' and 'Avizoise' offer a more savory-mineral and richer, more generous expression of the terroir, respectively. Finally, 'Expérience' Champagne is the result of a strictly purist method that excludes the use of any exogenous additives, with the draught made with fresh must and use of the same wine in the dosage phase.
