The foresight and resourcefulness of Giovan Battista Burlotto, founder of the company of the same name, were probably the two fundamental elements thanks to which the Burlotto winery has become, from the very beginning, an undisputed reference point in the wine scene of the Verduno and Barolo.

After being managed by Giovan Battista's niece, Mariana Burlotto, and her husband, Giuseppe Alessandria, the Burlotto estate has subsequently also seen the entry of the son of the same Mariana and Giuseppe, Fabio Alessandria, who after having been immediately deserving of having introduced the most modern viticultural and oenological techniques in the company, today it represents the firm guide of the family reality. Among the rows, the cultivated varieties are native ones, for which we meet Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Freisa plants, obviously without forgetting the pelaverga. In the cellar, without repudiating modernity, the traditional style is the master, so the aging takes place in large barrels, and the main objective is always to reach the highest quality standards by expressing and enhancing in the wines all that the season and the territory they have been able to shape in fruit. The result of all this is given by a series of continuous and valuable awards, which from the mid-nineteenth century to today have made a reality that has always been able to keep the bar straight towards the highest enological excellence.
