Sorì San Lorenzo is a Barbaresco that comes from the pure use of a great Piedmontese red grape variety, Nebbiolo. The grapes, carefully selected by the Gaja team during the manual harvest, after vinification undergo a double refinement, essential to fully develop the characteristics of this wine. In fact, it proceeds with a first period of 12 months spent in barrique, and then, with another year spent in large barrels. At the end of these 24 months of aging, the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed. The red wine Barbaresco Sorì San Lorenzo di Gaja presents itself to the eye with a brilliant hue, which recalls garnet.
The nose is almost indescribable in words, with a whirlwind of sensations that, from the undergrowth, reach ripe fruit and spices, also crossed by light nuances of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is full-bodied, warm and enveloping, with a sip in perfect balance, characterized by a pleasant freshness; ends with an incredibly persistent finish. A label that allows us to enter the elite of the great Italian reds, confirming the Gaja winery as one of the myths of the entire Italian enology.
