A great wine, to be reserved for the most important occasions. The red wine "Lupicaia" comes from a skilful blend that the team of the Castello del Terriccio winery assembles, combining 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Petit Verdot. The grapes of these varieties, carefully selected during the harvest in order to guarantee only the best of the terroir of origin, ferment separately, macerating for a long time on the skins. Then we proceed with the important phase of refinement, which takes place first for 24 months in French oak tonneau, of which at least 6 are spent on the fine lees, and then, after bottling, for another 12 months directly in glass.
Intense ruby red color. The nose shows a bouquet characterized by aromas of small red fruits, notes of spices, balsamic and mineral hints. On the palate it is broad, well-structured, warm, with a well-integrated tannic texture and a balanced freshness. The finish is persistent.
