Intense garnet red.
The nose is truly exceptional for intensity, power and class. From hints of violet and geranium, to red plum. The undergrowth, with dry leaves, chestnut urchins and porcini mushrooms precede the first hints of the characteristic “goudron”. W
ith aging, the already conspicuous complexity increases, to the point of transforming it into the wonderful wine it knows how to become. On the palate it confirms the many expectations. Powerful and elegant at the same time, it has in well-defined tannins the greatest of hardness.
The great structure, the excellent alcoholic concentration and the excellent consistency, consequently, give it balance and harmony. Particularly suitable for long aging. It happily accompanies meat-based dishes, both beef and braised, with feathered and furred game. Due to its notable tannins, it is also enhanced with fillet alla pietra or Fiorentina.
Barolo is not fully known if one has not drunk a Vigna Rionda at least once.
