Barbaresco Costa Russi by Gaja is a wine obtained from the vineyard of the same name located in the municipality of Barbaresco. The name is the result of the union between the Piedmontese dialect term Costa, which indicates the slope of a hill with the best exposure towards the south, and the nickname of the old owner of the vineyard, "Russi", from whom Angelo Gaja produces this great wine .

Description and characteristics

Barbaresco Costa Russi comes from Nebbiolo grapes, harvested manually and carefully fermented in steel vats; subsequently, the wine is aged in barrique for 12 months, and then matures in large barrels for another 12 months, in order to bring out the best aromas and scents.
