The Chardonnay of Benoit Ente comes from 5 plots planted from 1995 to 2013. The vinification lasts 18 months: during the first 12 months the juices are placed partly in wood and partly in vats. In the last 6 months the wines of the same denomination are blended in vats to be aged and then clarified without filtration.
Benoit Ente’s White Burgundy is extraordinarily beautiful. Fresh and alive in the glass, it has a magnificent richness and depth at the first approach. The bouquet opens with notes of white peach, elder flowers, toasted almonds and hazelnuts. A subtle smoky note gives the wine a serious charm. On the palate, the fruit explodes and then gradually gives way to the calcareous minerality of the terroir to offer a long and powerful finish.
