Passed down from generation to generation the current owner, Simonetta Valiani is the great-granddaughter of Ferruccio Biondi-Santi. Simonetta inherited the estate and decided to start producing wine under the name Le Chiuse in 1993 with the help of her husband Nicolò Magnelli and her son Lorenzo. Until then the vineyards had been rented to his uncle, Franco Biondi-Santi, who at the time were used for bottling the Biondi-Santi Reserve.

Description and characteristics

Ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of black cherry and plums, sweet spices and leather, with ferrous and herbaceous hints. The palate is young Brunello, with tannins that are still a bit rough and a fruit that is quite persistent.
